The Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association is an organization offering training scholarships, pilot education & resources, advocacy, community, and even deals on travel and aircraft/pilot insurance. I cannot recommend a membership to this organization enough.

The Experimental Aircraft Association is a fantastic resource for those looking to own their own aircraft, learn about the manufacture of aircraft, or want to build and design on their own. Their membership even includes access to SolidWorks, an industry standard 3D modeling program that is usually thousands of dollars for a subscription.
